The New Year Doesn't Need a "New" You...Just Don't Forget to Update by Pauline Herveaux

Had this photo taken for me by Matty Jacob almost a year ago for Stereotype Co after being invited by my good friend Dave Noodlez. I've witnessed Dave Noodlez, or as I jokingly call him "the Jesus of Our Generation", put in work and hustle in a way I'd never seen before. He's the BEST at bringing out the LATENT and SUPPRESSED best in anyone he collaborates with on any project, event, idea, campaign, etc. You dream it, he will help you DO it...if not at least guide you to a friend more specifically equipped or capable of helping you set the stage where your story will thrive..whatever genre it may be.

Here was also the first time I had the pleasure of working with the dynamic and always aesthetic magic maker herself, @unicornempress as my set stylist. Since then, it's been a blast of creative fun to brainstorm and pick each other's mental artist eyes.

For me this last year has been a hell of a ride with a whirlwind of endeavors and adventures, and of scars and stories. I've been paid to headline, asked to contrubute to multiple media outlets, brought on as a co-producer and as the face of numerous events where I've learned and adapted to my role as faciliator, mediator, conductor, coach, speaker, artist, model, comic, actress, and met so many phenomenally REAL and diversely gifted humans who are enthralling to watch be engulfed in their crafts of choice.

However, in that same year...I have been sleepless, restless, too high energy for some, and yet at times too apathetic and dismissive towards others. I have experienced a plethora of fun varied events and made myself proud by keeping my composure and not "doing anything foolish" then gone to my local watering hole only to black out and wake up on a lawn down the street. I have archived all of this to my own story, even if it does kind of appear to be a never ending Theory Of a Deadman music video. Hey, I'm still here ain't I?

I'll be the first to look back with awe and gratitude at just how often I've been a human pinball doused in booze..bouncing manic from point to point.. 2015-2016 has been so fucked up and draining, but I needed some sort of rock bottom to finally scrape my white ass & wake up."

The shot with the head down, eyes not shown because I'm breaking down my stresses and going to try and make a bunch of tweaks to my system and approach to life this year.
