Pacman Plu 'It Might Be Summer' Interview

Why did you make this album?

I made it cause I finally felt like the timing was right for my first major project. I’ve been making music for years but this year I actually decided to dedicate myself 100% into my music and started meeting the right people and getting the right feedback so it was a no brainer that I had to drop something major.

What inspired the title 'It Might Be Summer'?

It actually had a lot to do with the music on there. For a while I use to make really sad music and in my opinion that was always fall/winter music but this tape had a whole different vibe to it and since I wrote it in the summer time I figured “it might be summer”

If you could do remix to one song on the album and anyone as your guest feature, what song what it would be and who would you have on it?

It would definitely have to be “a lot” with a dababy feature, that would be an anthem.

Who helped make this album what it is? Writers, Producers, Muses, Support System, Etc

First and foremost it’s my mother. shes really my main supporter when it comes down to me making music but the funny thing is at a point she use to rip up my rhyme books. Then there’s Loyalty media group, Lanel, Devin white, Jai Yoko have been an important part of the process, they got me in contact with equity distro and roc nation and without them I’d never be where I’m at right now. My boy Cdadon which is one of my go to people to talk and do music with, he’s one of the best rappers out right now in my opinion. I also had my boys Donteeezyy, rascoyouwylin, and 2 track Shawn on the beats, I really believe that beats dictate what I do with songs so without them this tape would of been nothing.

What is your favorite track? Why?

Heart & soul, it’s a song that I’ve actually been writing for a while and when I heard that beat it just made sense. It’s me giving the listeners my all in the rawest form that I can, even the singing was emotional for me cause I don’t usually do that but I got into the booth and it just came out of nowhere, that song is really my heart and soul in art form.

What is your goal as an artist?

I want to be one of the greatest, I want to give back to the culture that raised me and actually leave something worth remembering.

When did you know you wanted to make music?

Probably around the age of 9 or ten, I used to play instrumentals and actually record myself free styling on my moms old gospel tapes with some old ass tape recording thing. I always liked poetry and since I was young I had a stage presence, I had a lot of other dreams but this one was the one that never left.

What is your dream now that you just accomplished

This dream?

This dream isn’t done yet in my opinion. I have a lot to do still before I could say I’ve fully accomplished my dream.

Have you ever been Stereotype'd?

I guess everyone’s been stereotyped if you you really think about it

Tell us more Have you ever broke a Stereotype someone had of you? Tell us about it

A lot of people think, cause I smoke all day and don’t actually post about what I do, that I’m doing nothing and slacking, but this right here goes to prove you never know what anyone’s ever really doing and social media isn’t life.

What advice would you give to something that is looking to pursuit their dreams?

Don’t stop dreaming. They can take everything away from you but they can never take away your dreams.
