How did you get into art?

I first got into graffiti and art in middle school hanging out with skateboarders.  I started seeing it in magazines and videos and started to do it myself.

What did you do to advance your skills/knowledge?

I tried to hang around other artists I saw doing it.

What’s your prefer use of medium? (paint, Ink, digital)

I prefer spray paint.

Do you have an Artist name? How did you get your Artist name?

I go by Tekst which is also my emcee name from my hip hop group The Higher Concept.

Who inspires you?

Veteran graffiti writers that are still pushing boundaries and creating new trends. All the artists going super big doing 20 story buildings with detailed images. I’d love to do an enormous piece one day.

What is your goal when you make art?

To like it whenever its finished.

What's your go to song right now?

Eddy I "Man Out Here" produced by J. Glaze

What is your dream as a artist?

To travel the world to create my art.

What is some advice you would give to someone with a dream to become an artist?

Figure out what skills you can offer/sell that will let you pay for art supplies and cost of living. Provide a service to people.

Where can people find you? (social media, website, etc)

If Stereotype Co made a Calendar This is How it Would Look (Jan-Dec 2016)

Webmaster

2015 was a blessing. We got to work with so many great people on events, projects and fashion goods. Respect to all our shooters. These photographers really took our 2015 up a notch with the best photographs we ever received. We are here dreaming about making a calendar so we picked 13 amazing shots featuring dreamers. So if we were to make a calendar this would be our 13 months.
