Breanna Pineiro Interview | Respect the Dreamer

This interview was curated by Abby Lee Rose

Hey babes, it's your bout-to-be favorite Staten Island lash tech.

What inspired you to pursue your dream and how did it all begin?
Honestly, my kids are my biggest motivation. I was working two jobs and barely getting by. That’s when I decided I wanted to pursue lashes—to give my kids and myself the time and energy we deserve.

Can you share a defining moment in your journey that shaped your perspective and fueled your passion?
Okay, to start off, my mother—who was the only help I had with my oldest—moved away. So juggling two jobs and a kid with no help was stressful, as you can imagine. That was really my push to start lashing. Even though I was certified for about a year, I wasn’t doing anything to start my business. Then I got pregnant with my second child, and that was all the motivation I needed.

How do you handle setbacks and keep pushing forward in the pursuit of your dreams?
I’m not a person who dwells. I take the problem at hand, come up with a game plan, and move accordingly. Can’t stress things we have no control over. I have no room for failure, so that’s all the drive I need. No one is coming to help or support my family.

Are there specific individuals who have inspired you along the journey?
Not really any specific individuals, but I see women in the lash community turning their brand into an empire, and that’s what keeps me going.

How do you maintain a balance between pursuing your dreams and handling everyday responsibilities?
For me, having a supportive spouse makes all the difference. When my schedule gets hectic, it’s nice to have someone to fall back on during the days I can’t do it all.

How do you overcome self-doubt and stay confident in your abilities?
I’ve had to learn that no one is coming. Like, legit—no one is coming to feed my kids or pay my bills. I know my worth and have to stand on business. It took some time to get to this point, but once I realized I mastered my craft, nothing was getting in my way.

Can you share a memorable success story or achievement that resulted from your determination?
Being able to be present in the moment with my kids. I probably sound repetitive, but it’s such a blessing to not miss out on anything and to be able to make my own schedule. I work when I want and can take mental breaks if I want as well. Very much grateful.

In what ways do you stay motivated during challenging times?
Like I’ve mentioned before, I’m not a person who sulks. I just keep pushing forward no matter how bad the days get. You have to keep showing up for you.

What dream are you living right now?
I’m lashing full time, but I’m nowhere near where I want to be. There are so many services I want to add, like brow lamination and thinning. People can find me on Instagram @BP.Lashedme or my main page @BL.PP.

What advice would you give to someone with a dream?
I would say keep going. Push through. You’re your own worst enemy. Once you lock in and figure out who the F you are, you’ll be unstoppable.
